Banking Information
Students over 20 years old are eligible to open a bank account in Taiwan. Chunghwa Post Co. Ltd. (Post Office) and Yuanta Bank are the financial institutes that cooperate with CGU (no service fee is charged if you receive money from CGU). Here is the information of the branches in or near the campus, and documents required to open a bank account:

If you wish to open a post office account, please first schedule an appointment at the post office for the account opening. On the appointed date, bring the required documents to the post office in person. For more information, please visit here.

Remarks
- Money exchange service is available 24 hours at both Terminal 1 and 2 of Taoyuan International Airport. For more information, please visit here.
- For the currency in circulation, please visit Central Bank for more information.
- A stamp/seal/chop with your name on it may be required for opening a bank account and other banking services. You can get one for about NT$80 at the campus stationery (IMAS) store on the 1st floor of the Student Activity Center. Your stamp will be ready for collection after 3 working days. Alternatively, you can visit the store near the A7 station, purchase one, and have it made on the same day.
- After opening a bank account, you can update your bank account information via iCGU to receive scholarship or money from school. For detailed instructions, kindly refer to here.
EasyCard
To make your living in Taiwan more convenient, you may get an EasyCard, which is an electronic value-stored card and can be used across most public transport systems, such as buses and MRT, and even convenient stores, supermarkets and other designated retailers.
