Students over 20 years old are eligible to open a bank account in Taiwan. Chunghwa Post Co. Ltd. (Post Office) and Yuanta Bank are the financial institutes that cooperate with CGU (no service fee is charged if you receive money from CGU). Here is the information of the branches in or near the campus, and documents required to open a bank account:
Post Office, CGU campus branch
- Alien Resident Certificate or Record of ID number in the Republic of China
Yuanta Bank, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Branch
- Money exchange service is available 24 hours at both Terminal 1 and 2 of Taoyuan International Airport. For more information, please visit here.

- A stamp/seal/chop with your name on it may be required for opening a bank account and other banking services. You can get one for about NT$100 at any locksmith shop (there is one locksmith shop near Chang Gung Memorial Hospital).
To make your living in Taiwan more convenient, you may get an EasyCard, which is an electronic value-stored card and can be used across most public transport systems, such as buses and MRT, and even convenient stores, supermarkets and other designated retailers.
